CITYSCAPE PART 1
One day a few weeks ago... I arrived home to find a big package awaiting me- a belated birthday present!
One day a few weeks ago... I arrived home to find a big package awaiting me- a belated birthday present!
Inside it I found this!
So adorable.
But just like the giver of the pressie, Audrey, it was multi-talented.
See this video I made of it showing off its talent!
It brought back such happy memories - especially Validectory night at St Cats where the College Choir sang this song.
We had our walking stick and moves just like this cutie!
Any ideas for a name?
Its now sitting atop my shelf of my childhood books and various stuffed toys
THANKS AUDS!!!
CITYSCAPE PART 2
The weather was so strange on Friday. (Welcome to Melbourne)
It was so very very foggy.
Now I've seen fog and smog whilst driving in the day.
But 530 in the morning and at night, you could hardly see 1/2 a block in front of ya.
It was like looking out the plane as it went through the clouds.. you could see the patches of "air/fog" pass by.
Very eeeeerie... like some horror movie.
I wondered whether there would be speed cameras capable of working in such conditions....
Anyway, here's a photo of it... hard to tell for sure except you can see the edge of beams of light from cars...

CITYSCAPE Part 3
Got a piece of GREAT news today.
A good friend has won a prestigious architecture award.
"...the Yongergnow Australian Malleefowl Centre by Architectural Design Studio (WA) received the Colorbond Steel Award. The innovative new venture is completely community owned, with the industrious community actively involved ....
“The economical, self-spanning, interlocking steel sheet vaulted roof of the Australian Malleefowl Centre is used here for one of the first times in WA, and on a constricted budget. Water is harvested from the entire roof, with indigenous plants and landforms accentuating natural landscape connections,” noted the jury.
All award winners ...now progress to the RAIA National Architecture Awards, to be announced in Alice Springs on 25 October."
Congrats WaiKin!!!!!!!
Good luck with Alice Springs.
This guy is supertalented.
Check out his award winning work here on his Flickr site.
Whist you're there, he's got a pretty impressive food photo collection to check out also!
